Porsche Boxster TPMS The Same For 2008 & 2009?

I've got a 2008 Boxster and I'm selling my wheel set including the tpms to my friend with a 09. Will it work ok on his car?

It depends on the manufactured date. 09 was the cutoff year for the newer style sensor.
