I use the KTI p.s.t. model 71990 TPMS sensor programmer tool to activate the TPMS sensors on my Pontiac G8. This TPMS sensor programmer tool is available on amazon.com for around $150-175 shipped, and does a great job at validating and activating the TPMS sensors on my car.
