G8 - Is A TPMS System Reset Needed After Rotating Tires?

I rotated my tires last weekend and my TPMS warning light came on yesterday. Did I mess up something?

It is not a big issue, by rotating your wheels, the ECU will not recognise (depending on the vehicle make/model) the original positions of the sensors. Each sensor does have a unique ID#, corresponding when everything is installed properly with the wheel position. If you change the positions of the wheel without re-setting this is what you get. All you need to do is to have with the appropiate tool the sensors read out and re-positioned and the TPMS light should go out. But please be adviced, depending on the car/make/model, additional handling might be required, please check this on your car manual, or with your dealer, or tyre specialist.
