Battery Life of TPMS Sensors - Reading TPMS Data

It is an absolute certainty that a TPMS sensor will eventually fail - when the battery dies. If I use a TPMS trigger or activation tool to read the tire's pressure and temperature on a regular basis, say once a week, will that significantly reduce the battery life of the sensor? I was under the impression that the TPMS sensor was continuously sending tire pressure data anyway. Therefore, I was hoping that triggering the sensor once a week won't severely impact battery life.

You are correct, the sensor is transmitting that data anyway so it will have no effect on the life of the sensor.

    Thanks
