Hello, Welcome. Well it could be either or. Best bet is to have a tire shop scan them with an Ateq or Bartec tool and they will be able to tell you if the battery is dead or not.
I thinks the answer is, no. The TPMS system must be recalibrated by the dealership. Last I heard, it was $85 for the procedure..
